| Are reservations
safe and secure on Yorkhotelbookings.com? We employ security measures
such as Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) to protect the loss, misuse and alteration
of your personal information. SSL, which is utilized by most popular browsers,
including Netscape and Microsoft Explorer, provides the advanced encryption tools
necessary to protect information transmitted between your computer and our server.
Encryption simply means that your information is converted into code before it
is dispatched over the Internet. Our secure server encrypts all personal information,
including your name, address, and credit card information, so that it cannot be
read as it is transmitted over the Internet when you make a reservation.
Where do the rates come from?
The rates come directly from the main computers of the hotel chains
and computer services which provide reservations for independent hotels. There
is no other system like this. The system allows you to view every rate available
through the chain reservation systems. How
are the reservations made? All online
reservations are made directly with the main computers of the hotel's chain or
reservation service and not third party systems.
What is a confirmation number?
A confirmation number is a unique number assigned to every reservation.
Depending on the hotel, the confirmation number assigned will appear differently.
Most are from 4 - 16 digits and some are alphanumeric. The number will be needed
at check-in at the hotel or in the event you decide to cancel the reservation.
The number makes it easier for the hotels to identify your reservation.
When do I receive the confirmation number?
For online reservations, you will be issued a confirmation number on the
page which appears several seconds after you submit your personal and credit card
information for the reservation. If you are making your reservation through our
reservation center, then the Reservationist handling will inform you of the confirmation
number. |
